Vinspired.com O2 arena awards (Web & TV Advert) Plain Jane US trailerThis well received advert promoting 'life without tobacco' enjoyed an extended run across the whole MTV network amongst various other channels and features original music from Snip-Snap artist George Ovens.
One of a series of four 3 minute wonder shorts by director Colin O Toole. These intimate pieces set out to observe four separate individuals as they prepare to be immersed in a variety of public group experiences. Maryam is a remarkable young lady from Birmingham whose reflections are set to original music from Snip-Snap artist Paddy Shine.
Also part of 'The Gathering' series, Rocky is a touching short film about one man's determination and boundless optimism towards his unique take on coastal restoration as well as life in general. This truly uplifting piece features original music by Snip-Snap artist Brendan Williams, and went on to be nominated for the Grierson awards in 2008.
Prompted by the murder of Gary Newlove in Warrington, this program looks into the issue of anti social behaviour on our streets, the dangers of taking offenders to task, and ways the problem can be tackled. The music here had to reflect the urban moodiness of the subject matter whilst remaining low key.
This show was an account of Shiraz Maher's experiences during his time as a member of Hizb ut- Tahrir, a radical organisation campaigning for the creation of Caliphate - an Islamic State. Much of the show dealt with Shiraz's serious concerns about the group's activities and agenda, so the music had to fit the subject matter, and reflect the mood in a subtle manner.
This short film was made for the One Show and looks at the variety of ways that people of Belfast view some of the Para Military murals in their city. Some see them as a grim reminder of an old conflict whilst others would argue that they're important historic artifacts. Thanks to Rob Bright & Danny Norbury for their help on this project.
This brief montage shows examples of the music Snip-Snap provided for series 2 of the Comedy Map. The Music had to be upbeat in it's mood, a bit kitsch and complementary to the voiceover provided by Alan Whicker.
This advert spearheaded the promotion for the Vinspired awards at the o2 arena which were part of their ongoing campaign to encourage volunteer work in the community. Original music provided by Snip-Snap artists George Ovens & John Goodwin.
